Creative Evening with Mikhail Shcherbakov

The chamber, the small number of Shcherbakov's audience, and at the same time its permanence, are due to the uniqueness of this author and his exceptional musicality: the complexity of melodies, the highest skill of the performer and the exquisite arrangements of compositions in albums - lead him beyond the "bardic" song, where simplicity and choral music are more appreciated execution. However, the main thing - the highest level of poetry: a philologist by education, who wrote songs for almost 40 years and wrote about 350 (!) Works, Shcherbakov does not consider himself to be so - but is recognized by many critics as perhaps the most significant of modern poets.

Despite the genre, and sometimes even seemingly simplicity of the works themselves - often you need to make an effort and listen to the product several times to "hear" the song, reveal its meaning and depth. Regarding the same modern "political" realities - Shcherbakov's position remains the position of a man of integrity and courage, and is fully indicated in the works of recent years: sometimes in intonations of unhappy, and sometimes with his characteristic killing irony, even with some fun.
